The Archive: Edits 01–26

The Lifestyle Edit began as a column inside Vitae, a wellness publication with a readership that kept asking the same practical questions: where is worth staying, where is worth eating, and which of the things being marketed at us actually hold up. The column answered them one place at a time, five pieces at a time, and grew until it plainly needed a masthead of its own.

The first twenty-six Edits are that apprenticeship. They run from Bali and Uluwatu through the Middle East and AlUla, the Nordics, Ireland, Hong Kong, the Greek islands, Istanbul, and a long, unhurried survey of London — Canary Wharf, Marylebone, Richmond, the city at seven in the morning. Alongside them sit the product Edits, where kit and supplements were tested against the specific claims made for them rather than against a press release.

Those pieces remain hosted on Vitae, where they were first published and where their links, citations and readers already point. Moving them would break that, so for now they stay put and this page keeps a complete index of them. Everything from Edit No.27 onward is published here.
